Target Center - Minneapolis' Premier Entertainment Venue

Located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, the Target Center stands as a premier entertainment destination, hosting a wide array of events that cater to audiences of all tastes. Located at 600 N. 1st Avenue, in downtown Minneapolis, it's right in the heart of the warehouse district.  

Construction of the Target Center began in 1988, marking a pivotal moment in Minneapolis' entertainment scene. The venue was designed to be a multifunctional space that could accommodate sports events, concerts, and other live performances. It wasn't until October 13, 1990, that the Target Center opened its doors to the public. Since then, it has become a Minnesota cultural landmark, attracting visitors from all over the region and beyond. In 2004, the venue was renovated on a grand scale. All 19,006 original seats were replaced, and roughly 1500 seats were added. With most upgrades of venues like the Target Center, a key improvement included the replacement of the scoreboard. The location of the main entrance was moved, restaurants were added, and a pair of massive atriums was built as an addition to the amenities that make up this amazing venue.

In the past, some of the greatest concerts took place. In the first year after it opened, live shows included Poison, Cheap Trick, ZZ Top, and The Judds. In 2007, Prince performed to a sold-out audience. The Foo Fighters played at the Target Center in 2008. Other notable events at the Target Center include pro wrestling, bull riding, monster trucks, and more. 

Best Seats for Timberwolves Games at Target Center

There are great seats all over the Target Center but some sections in the venue provide a better view than others. Looking to sit at mid-court for a Lynx game? Try sections 131, 111, 231, or 211. Want to sit behind the hoop for a Timberwolves game? Choose to sit in sections 101, 121, 221, or 201. Check out the Treasure Island VIP Terrace. Wheelchair-accessible seating can be found in sections 126, 132, 138, 112, and 106. In the upper level, wheelchair-accessible seating is situated in twenty sections that circle the main floor.
